We recently repaired and recovered all of the frames for this commercial building in Shoreline. Totaling 19 frames and completed in two phases, this refresh gave the whole building a lift. We also added some new acrylic panels to a few of the awnings to display current and future business graphics.
Extra Wide Space? No problem. Some spaces are too wide for a traditional two arm awning, but not quite wide enough for two separate units: enter the extra arm. For spaces above 20′ wide we add a center arm for additional support so you have an awning that functions perfectly in your space that has just a little something extra.
This business had a large loading dock area that needed a cover to protect shipments from the rain as they came in. We worked with them to design a large custom metal structure with a durable Weblon vinyl cover. This canopy should help keep them and their shipments dry for a very long time to come.
Classics never go out of style, and neither do drop-arm window awnings. The perfect fit for a more traditional or retro home, a drop arm awning offers the modern convenience of motorized operation while not clashing with the style of less than modern homes. We carry two different drop arm models with a large selection of fabric and valance styles so you can customize them to suit your needs and your property.
We offer a wide array of fabrics for our awnings, ranging from neutral shades, to stripes and patterns, and even some very bold fabrics. This owner chose the vibrant “Magenta” from Sattler fabrics for their Ravenna awning which adds a fun touch to an otherwise very traditional patio.
Great for western exposures or properties on the water, drop screens offer shade
from the setting sun or bright reflections. They can be added to the Select or Tendabox retractable awnings and can be customized by screen type and color.
Humans aren’t the only ones looking for shade in the summer. In the last year we have been lucky enough to work with the Seattle Aquarium on two occasions to help enhance a few of their exhibits and make their animals as comfortable as possible. We equipped the outdoor Sea Lion exhibit with a retractable awning that has a screen material (Serge Ferrari Soltis 88) in place of the fabric to offer maximum shade on hot summer days. We also lined the exhibit windows with SecureZip screens that provide shade and stand up well to the very windy pier conditions. Inside, we provided some more SecureZip screens for the bird pool that are so subtle you might miss them if you’re not looking.
Indoor awnings don’t always serve a purpose other than aesthetics, but sometimes they are the most practical choice. In the case of Ray’s Boathouse, their dining space needed shade but the rafters in the building were not square, which meant more traditional methods would not work. Our solution: this Select awning by Stobag, which looks beautiful in the space and keeps the sun out of patron’s eyes.
This entrance canopy was showing it’s age and ready for a refresh. We were able to give it a new life by replacing the existing cover with a new one made from
Ferrari Soltis 502, in moss green. Now the building has a fresh look that will stand up to wear and tear for at least the next 10 years.
